Rails and River

I haven’t been taking the time to relax and shoot pictures like a used to, so after working super hard all day to finish my homework, I took a little break and went down by the railroad tracks and river at sunset.

I always look forward to the bold font of your site on my RSS feed. Good pictures, I like how you kinda have a pattern of large portions of un- focused sections in your photos going. That’s cool. I like the one of the berries, the white dots add some interest to it. I like the creativity of your bridge photo as well, I think it might have looked better if it had been in focus, but it was still a cool perspective to capture. Keep em comin’….

Your manipulation of focal plane is very good in the last three photographs. It plays with the peception of what “should be” subject and what “should be” ground.

I’ll disagree with Skylar, and say that the bridge picture could have been a boring sunset picture if it had been all in focus.

Instead, The photograph is all about the macro, grit of the cement; the askew angle; and the hazy, hue of the sky.
