I was searching through the archives on my computer and found this poem, which surprised me because I NEVER write poems.  I’m not sure when exactly I wrote it but my guess is somewhere in the spring or summer of 2008.  While reading over it I smiled because of it’s truth.  I hope it speaks to you as well!

Leave it behind

It’s all in the past

Things change

People change

Life goes on

Nothings the same

Nothing ever will be

Mistakes were made

Lessons learned

Life goes on

Look back over your shoulder

But don’t regret a thing

It made you who you are

Relax, be still, and know

Life goes on

My friend Sky and I have had it on our hearts to start a new children’s ministry at Community Bible Church here in Winona.  So we did it!  The only kids to show up to our first event in October were Sky’s sisters but we were sure to publicize this one more, and we got 10 kids (all under the age of 7 and mostly boys)!  It was a lot of work but so much fun!  Here are a few cute pictures from the night

This was my third road rally with the CBC Youth Group (I can’t believe it’s been that long!!) and the girls once again got third place- which is fine in my book, especially since we were only one point behind second and two behind first.  And we took a picture of a dead squirrel for one of our points.  All in all it was a good time and I hope to be able to visit for next years!  :)
